EMIT may flag some units as having device discrepancies, which means that the serial number or SIM appears to be in conflict with other devices. This leads to issues with sending test callouts and some other random problems. When this happens the device can be checked in the field to help get the information back aligned.

== Fix Procedure ==

*Validate the device serial number is correct
**For EDR: Check wifi console for reported serial number (at top of page). See [[EDR_Wi-Fi_Console#Connecting|here]] for connection instructions. Compare what is shown on the console to what is stamped on the circuit board. If different, notify EMIT for further instructions.
**For DCT: Check the access (password) dialog for what it shows for the serial number. Compare to the serial number on the sticker on the back of the display. If different, notify EMIT for further instructions.
*Validate SIM is correct
**For DCT: Go to System Settings -> Go to Page -> 72 and get a picture of it, and send to telematics@emittechnologies.com
**For EDR: Go on the wifi console to the "debug"->Connection information area, or for newer software versions the "Cellular" section of the home page. It should show a SIM number, send this to telematics@emittechnologies.com
