Overview
Starting with DCT v1.67.464 and Brain v3244 the system has the ability to monitor the cycle history of up to three digital inputs. The system will accumulate the number of cycles and the total amount of time asserted (either closed to ground or open). This is commonly used to track dump valves.
This is similar to No-Flow monitoring, but does not include an alarm to shut down the unit. If a lubrication cycle alarm is needed, see Annunciator Setup - No Flow Monitoring
Setup
The page for both setup and status can be found under Settings - Brain - Input Setup - Other DI Pulse Inputs
<screenshot>
Up to three inputs can be used for this purpose, and are assigned on the left side of the page. To select the digital input number to use as a tracked input select the first box on that row then select any digital input.
Note: A digital input has to be unused to allow it to be selected. If it is already used for something else go to Digital Input setup and disable that input first.
After selecting the input the second button on the row "Change Name / direction..." can be selected to go to that individual input setup for changing the name or the normally open vs closed setting. These items can also be changed later by going to the normal Digital Input setup page. The alarm action can't be changed, it will be fixed to "No Action".
Select "Submit" to save if any changes are made.
Data
The right side of the pulse input page shows the current statistics.
Each input will show the total number of cycles and total amount of time as asserted (aka non-normal state). For example if the input is normally open then the amount of time spent closed to ground will be shown.
A cycle is counted on the edge from normal to non-normal state. For example open-closed-open-closed would be two cycles.
The "Reset data" button can be used to clear statistics back to 0 for all inputs.
