Sometimes a DCT has to be swapped because of some issue. Since the DCT stores all the configuration, the configs will have to be loaded on the new screen.
- Obtain configuration files via a method below
- If the old screen works well enough to navigate, insert a USB into the back and save the old files DCT_Config_Files#Saving_config_files
- If you have a backup of the previous config, copy onto a USB drive
- If the unit is on EMIT telematics, you can download the Brain config file from the site. Navigate to the unit on the site, then go to the "Config Files Tab" and select "Download latest config file" on the bottom. Copy this file to a USB.
- If none of the above are possible, contact EMIT to get the original config files for the panel. Send the panel serial number to TechSupportDist@emittechnologies.com, requesting the config. The panel serial number will be in the format 142XX-XXXX-XXXXX.
- Put the configuration files onto a USB drive on a computer
- Ideally, use a USB drive supplied by EMIT
- Put the files into the main directory of the drive (not a folder)
- Put the USB drive into the back of the screen
- Navigate to "Settings" -> "Save/Load Settings to USB" (On bottom of page)
- Select "All Modules" then "Load from USB"
- If only the Core_Retention file is used, you may have to select "Brain" and "Load from USB" instead
- If the engine uses a CAT ADEM, and the EDT tab (engine data) does not show up on the home page, follow the step below
- Navigate to Settings - "Engine Data Translator".
- Change the mode to "ADEM 3/4" and hit "Save"
