If a module has manufacturing test software installed or test mode active, it won't work normally. This page shows how to verify if normal software is installed.

AFRC

If the hardware ID ends in a "1", it is test software. If it ends in another number, it is normal software.

DCT

The DCT boots to a test mode if an internal switch is in a specific setting. To get it out of test mode, remove the back cover and switch the 4pin dip switch to all OFF.

EDR

The EDR has an internal swich for test mode. To get it out of test mode, remove the cover and switch the 4 pin dip switch to all OFF.

For these modules, if the software version shows a 5-digit number it is a test version. If it is 4 digits it is normal software.
