Overview

Region Passwords are available to remotely set passwords on DCTs. Simply set the password for an entire region and a message will automatically be sent to all the units in the region to update their password. A passwords page is available to easily search and find the actual password for each unit.

The passwords page shows all the passwords for all the units in a single table. Each unit shows its current password and the regions password. The region password can differ from the current password because the software version is too old, or the unit has not managed to update to the latest region password yet. Units with old software versions will have to be updated to use remote passwords.

How it works

When the region password is updated, a message is sent to device to update password. If the unit successfully updates it will acknowledge that the password has been changed and the server will update the "Current Password" to match the new password.
