There are some settings for the Brain that do not fit in another section so are put under Setup -> Brain -> Misc. Settings. The settings and their purpose are shown below

Setting Description Minimum Annunciator or Brain version required
Scrubber Debounce (s) This setting gives a special debounce time for digital inputs that are used for scrubber levels. For example, if set to 3 seconds then the input will have to be faulted for 3 full seconds before shutting down. This can be used if a scrubber switch tends to flutter. 0
Start Gas Cutoff after Engine Run (s) This gives the amount of time after the engine rpm goes high before the start gas block valve closes 795
Light tower output inverted If set to YES, then the light tower segments will flip their logic. This can be used if old boards or light towers are showing up backwards (e.g. red while running) 822
Suction low debounce (s) This gives a special debounce time to the analog input used for suction pressure. The input has to be below the alarm limit for this number of seconds before faulting out. 840
Max Valve Change Time (s) If using on/off valves with valve feedback, after changing the output direction the Brain will check that the input changes to the expected end stop as well. This is the amount of time a valve can be out of sync before an alarm is generated. 923
Invert DC SHDN Pin The DC SD pin (Pin 9 of the annunciator) is normally grounded to stop and ungrounded to run. If this setting is set to YES, then the logic will be flipped so that the pin will be grounded to run. 1067
Analog vibration debounce (s) This setting gives a special debounce for vibration sensors on analog inputs. The input will have to be faulted for this many seconds in a row before generating an alarm. 1211
Fuel gas on for lube Normally the fuel gas valve doesn't come on until after pre-lube completes. If the fuel gas has to come on earlier, then this setting can be changed to YES. 1278
Require idle at startup If set to YES, then the panel won't start unless the speed switch is in the Idle position. After starting the switch can be changed. 1836
Continue pre lube through crank If set to YES, then the lube output will stay energized until the engine is actually detected to be turning. 2516
Crank Terminate RPM This gives the RPM that the panel will consider past cranking and in running. This might be adjusted on low speed units where the run signal is not incrementing. This is separate from the RPM threshold that causes the panel to go from "Waiting for ECU to start" to "Running", which is under Output Setup -> ECU Selection. 0
Monitor comp. oil during drank If set to YES, the brain will fault if the engine starts turning and the compressor oil pressure doesn't start building up within a few seconds. See Special_Compressor_Oil_Pressure_Alarm 2773
Add special feedback alarms Normally the "Max Valve Change Time" mentioned above is a timer that is always used to monitor if a valve is meeting or not meeting the intended command position. If the special feedback alarm is enabled then the max valve change time only applies to when a valve command changes (aka Open to Closed or Closed to Open). Once a valve meets its command position the special alarm will add a shorter 3 second timer that will monitor the valve to make sure it does not change position when there is no command change. 2841
Standby Timer Start This setting changes how long the STANDBY timer will begin counting down. By default, it is 60 seconds. 3096
Main bearing deviation shutdown This adds a special alarm to monitor deviations on main bearing temps. See Main_Bearing_Deviation_Alarm 3110
Fault if A3 switch in manual Fault out of the start sequence if the ADEM3 run switch is in the "Manual" instead of "Auto" position. Requires EDT update as well to 2856 or higher. 3195
Analog temperature debounce (s) Special debounce timer on temperature inputs that are on analog inputs (usually RTD converters). For any analog input that has a unit of "F" this timer will apply- the input has to be faulted for this long to actually trigger a shutdown. 3209
Require engine prelube If set to YES the start sequence will fault out if the engine is triggered to start and RPM is detected quickly (within 15 seconds) which indicates that engine pre lube was skipped. Additionally, if the EDT is up to date it will report if an ADEM3 has prelube disabled, and the start sequence will fault before attempting a start if the prelube is turned off. 3262
