Light Tower and Siren Logic

From EMIT Controls

Overview

The standard EMIT panel comes with a three color light tower (red, green, yellow) and siren/buzzer. There is hard-coded logic that drives the color and siren state.

Siren Logic

The siren will sound in these scenarios:

  1. If crank control used, during start of crank for user-defined period the siren will sound
  2. When a remote or auto reset of the unit is triggered the siren will sound for 6 seconds
  3. Before blowing down the siren will sound for 4 seconds in pair of two short beeps per second
  4. If a custom siren sensor condition is set up, the siren will sound when the sensor condition is present (See Annunciator Setup - Buzzer)

Light Tower Logic

Normal Running

  1. If the panel state is not running (stopped, standby, faulted, pending restart, or transitioning to stop) the tower will show red
  2. If the panel is in a running state and there is no warning active, the tower will show green
  3. If the panel is in a running state and there is a warning active, the tower will show yellow

Special scenarios

  1. During test mode the tower will blink yellow with one long blink when an input faults and two short blinks when an input unfaults
  2. If crank control is used, the tower will blink green/yellow while cranking
  3. If an auto restart is pending the tower will blink yellow/red continuously
  4. 5 seconds before the B1 timer expires the tower will blink green/yellow to warn about the timer about to expire
  5. When running cooldown mode the tower will show yellow continuously
