Resolving Time Issues

From EMIT Controls

Sometimes the time will be incorrect in callouts or reports for units. The resolution depends on the device type.

Dynamic Control Touchscreen (DCT)

  1. Navigate to the Time page on the sidebar. Verify that the time zone is correct. If the time zone is not correct, update the zone first before adjusting any time and hit Submit.
  2. After updating the time zone, see if the time matches the current time. If not, go back to the Time page. If "Set from GPS" is set to NO, try setting to YES and see if it fixes the issue. If it is already set to YES and the time is wrong, change to NO and manually set the time to the current time at that location.

Data Relay (EDR)

Note: The latest software version of the EDR will show the current time under the Debug tab of the wifi terminal. To see how to connect to the wifi terminal, see this article.

  1. Check that the GPS antenna is connected and in the correct port
  2. If the time is incorrect, the internal EDT may need to be updated. Check the EDT version on the Debug tab of the wifi console. It should be 1648 or newer. If it is not, see this article on how to update.
  3. If only the time zone is incorrect on callouts, notify EMIT. This is a setting that is stored on the server.
